Reiki Session
AN ANCIENT SCIENCE
During the Reiki session, the “Chi” (Reiki) energy flows through the hands of the practitioner who has their hands over the patient's body in various predefined positions. The patient typically lies on a massage table and starts receiving the “Chi” once they are ready and willing to receive. Reiki can also be received while in seated position should the preference be to sit rather than lie.
The session does not require any articles of clothing to be removed with the exception of shoes. Comfortable clothing is recommended and a session has a typical duration of 60 to 120 minutes long with benefits being felt from the end of the session in most cases.
Reiki is always a pleasant experience; it will only be received when you are ready and willing to receive. You also naturally dictate the amount of “Chi” you want to receive through a session. The session promotes an experience of being very pleasant, relaxing and invigorating.
What Reiki Feels Like
What the patient &/or the practitioner feels through the session may differ through every session and may vary from person to person. Sometimes it is felt as heat, warmth, coldness, goose bumps, chills or a tingling sensation. Either way, the experience is always beautiful and rewarding.
Reiki can be experienced in either a slow or rapid free flowing motion, or it can felt in an irregular and uneven motion; how you feel Reiki depends on how in tune we are with ourselves. Some people will only feel sensations with positioning of the practitioner hands positions while others feel Reiki travel to where it is needed in the body. Either way, whether you feel the slightest shift of energy in the body or only able to feel the larger shifts, Reiki is a beautiful sensation.
